Born to the parents of Joseph and Gladys Gulama who are from the proud country Freetown, Sierra Leone but there was a huge became against her because of ethnic features, unique hair and ebony skin. This prejudice fueled her compassion to enhance her ethnic features. In the summer of 91', Ndaneh's cousin Lamin (last name) moved to Houston, from New York where he continued being a top hair stylist in there area and also opened Ndaneh's horizon to the world of fashion, hair styling, and self-development. After being a life coach and mentor to Ndaneh it gave her the confidence and the wisdom to be anything she wanted to be and with this there was no turning back. Instead of doing all of the cool high school things such as going to the movies, the mall, house parties and etc.Ndaneh started to do hair after school and on the weekends. After a while she was bringing in more money than all of her siblings and with this income increase it really helped and stabilize their family.

After consulting with lawyers and PR firms, since she was passionate about the hair business, that she should turn her love and hobby to a business which became the birth of Shadepelle Faciques Luxury Hair.
