Fairview Nursing Care Center Hosts a Clothing Drive to Help the Salvation Army Assist Locals In Need

March 6, 2014 - PRLog -- Fairview Nursing Care Center is proud to announce a new location for the community to donate their used clothing to those in need. Fairview will be accepting donations at their facility, located at 69-70 Grand Central Pkwy, Forest Hills, New York. They will have a donation bin set up during the month of March, accepting clothing for men, women, and children that have been lightly worn.

All donations will be given to the Salvation Army for distribution to those in need at the end of March. Work attire is also in demand for those participating in Workplace Readiness programs in the area. Participation through donations of new or gently used clothing is highly encouraged from the community. Additionally, coats and sweaters are still requested for the possibility of unseasonably cool weather.

“We're so excited to be getting involved in helping the community through the clothing drive,” said Asher Frankel, Administrator at Fairview Nursing Care Center. “We believe its our civic duty as a healthcare organization to help others and encourage our fellow citizens to do the same. It is our hope that through these acts of kindness, we can help strengthen our community."
