By: So in Love Movie Much excitement is generating for this Indie Film: in the last 36 hours of the film’s funding campaign on Indiegogo, it has surpassed its goal by 20% at time of print, and is still going strong. Winning awards before it’s even” in the canister”, and partnering with today’s “International Women’s Day”, the future looks bright for “So in Love” Film”. Even Indiegogo is showing support by matching donations given today. The goal of the film campaign on Indiegogo is to raise the funds needed to produce a top-notch project intended to propel the important issue of teenage pregnancy from a nonjudgmental, but compassionate Christian perspective. To that end, most of the production crew has remarkably volunteered their time and talent, with only a handful receiving a nominal fee. 99% of funds raised (minus Indiegogo's fees) go strictly to production costs. Any extra funding will go toward producing an ever-higher quality film and fees for Film Festivals and Screenings. Release is slated for Fall of 2014. 'SO IN LOVE' is a short film about a young teen, Sara, who comes from an upper middle class family. Sara never lacked the proper essentials as a teenager, but sometimes, though love was there, it was not always evident. Sara meets a boyfriend, David, who she naïvely believes is a true love. After a year of promises and romance, Sara discovers that she is pregnant with David’s child. Sara approaches David with the news. Scared and immature, and obviously not ready for fatherhood, David gives Sara an ultimatum - get an abortion. Frightened and confused, Sara now faces the decision of abortion or adoption. Sara's love for David makes her decision even more difficult. Resting solely on Sara, the path she chooses is important to the future of the baby. Managing to move away from strictly judgmental stances, “So in Love” instead is touching the universal language of the heart—in both teenagers, and grown adults with children of their own. Eastynn Chadwick, lead actress of the film (Sara) explains, “(Teenage pregnancy) is a very broad subject that we need to cover here in the US. I think it’s not really talked about at home--at least not as much as it should be talked about within families. Everyone can relate either personally, through a friend, or just (through empathy). It makes a person think, "What if I was in that situation?" She goes on to express her gratitude to the film’s supporters by adding, “I just want to thank everyone that has supported this film since day one. I appreciate all of you. I believe in this film and the message it has to give.” Stephen Dixon, Actor, Producer and Promotions Manager of “So in Love” shares, “It has been a distinctive joy to work on this film due to its message and the cinematography and beauty on the screen.” Dixon has put in many hours and labor into the promotion and production of the film. When asked ‘Why? Why this film?’ he candidly answers, “Well, I have a teenage son (and when we moved) to CA, of course I was worried about what he might get into after moving to a bigger place and more of a high-speed world. So, this film and its message sparked some major personal interest because of my fears of becoming a grandfather before my time!” Many parents can relate to that fear, often unspoken. Producer and Original Score Composer, KaiCarra, chose to be on the project because not only did the characters speak to her, quickly inspiring sounds of new music to accompany the film, but she “enjoys how to the film is delving into an issue that people are apt to shout about, but rarely feel for.” She expands, “Pro-life and Pro-choice have become euphemisms for political leanings, not descriptions of the true anguish and crossroads teenage pregnancy is. It is easy to avoid the plight this prevalent situation creates, which many young girls face alone; there are no hard, quick answers. No matter the decision, no matter the choice made, it will be an experience for that person, impacting the rest of their life. I love Sara’s strength and courage as she honestly faces her life and situation.” In the campaign, several new producers and supporters have joined the film. Expect to hear more from them as the progress of this film continues to be tracked. As Ian Reed, Executive Producer exclaims, “This, my friends is the start of great things, both for this film and the ones to come....for everyone involved!!” Indeed. With the tremendous support this little film is receiving it is reasonable to expect big things for its future!
