Triunfo YMCA Summer Camp Signups Underway

AGOURA HILLS, Calif. - March 12, 2014 - PRLog -- The Triunfo YMCA, serving Westlake Village, Agoura and Oak Park, is signing up participants for its summer camp program that runs from June 16 through August 15.

         Triunfo YMCA summer camp is held at Sumac Elementary School (6050 N. Calmfield Avenue., Agoura Hills). Campers are grouped by grade levels (kindergarten and first grades, second and third grades, fourth and fifth grades and sixth, seventh and eighth grades). Children can attend full or part time.

         "All campers will have the opportunity to swim at the Agoura High pool and go on age-appropriate field trips," says Chrissy Withers, Triunfo YMCA lead program director. "YMCA summer camp is the perfect place for kids to have outdoor fun, make new friends, learn, challenge themselves and have wonderful experiences that will last a lifetime.”

         Triunfo YMCA summer camp is led by trained counselors. It is values-based with an emphasis on personal growth, self-respect and character building. Camp hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Extended childcare hours begin at 7:00 a.m. and end at 6:00 p.m. Campers can attend one or all of the nine-week sessions.

         A Counselor in Training program for teens going into 9^th and 10^th grades is also available. Participants will learn leadership and communication skills will helping counselors during camp hours.
