Celebrity artist DIONN RENEE to be featured At AACCCP function on Thurs, March 13th

HARRISBURG, Pa. - March 12, 2014 - PRLog -- Harrisburg resident and celebrity photographer and painter Dionn Renee will be a featured artist at the upcoming Corks, Canvas, and Commerce event sponsored by the African American Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, March 13^th at 5pm. The event will take place at Crawdaddy’s Restaurant at 1500 N. Sixth Street, Harrisburg.

Renee has held showings around the country and as far as Rome. Just last week, her work was presented to renowned hip hop artist Rick Ross in a live broadcast of BET’s 106 & Park, one of the network’s hottest shows. The painting, a portrait of the artist, celebrates Ross’ likeness as is resembled on his latest album cover, Mastermind.

Renee, who also painted the mural of the First Couple in the Harrisburg office of President Obama’s re-election campaign, is well-known in celebrity circles, having painted or photographed such notable figures as Vice President Biden, Oprah Winfrey, poet laureate Maya Angelou (who has prominently displayed Renee’s portrait of her in her main office), Russell Simmons; TV and film figures (Tyra Banks, Tisha Campbell, Steve Harvey, Mehki Phifer, Chris Rock, Vanessa Williams, Davetta Sherwood, etc.); and musical artists (including Eve, Ice-T, Jeremih, Meek Mill, Nicki Minaj, Trey Songz, and more).

The Corks, Canvas, and Commerce event is free and open to the public.
