Wake up Call: Either Stop Doing Guest Blogging for Link Building or Get Penalized

SAN DIEGO, Wash. - March 21, 2014 - PRLog -- A good morning starts on a bad note for all those webmasters who have been passively using Guest Blogging as the part of their digital marketing efforts even when Google has warned against the guest blogging done for link building. Matt Cutts, Google's head of search spam, has announced that they have taken action on a large guest blog network. Resting the speculations on the name of the blog network which has got a hit, Ann Smarty of MyBlogGuest.com has confirmed that they get a manual action in their Webmaster Tools but she did not believe that the publishers who participated in the network would also get a hit as well. But Matt Cutts cleared the air, said, “when we take action on a spammy link network, it can include blogs hosting guest posts, sites benefiting from the links, etc.”

Matt Cutts always denounced guest blogging done for the purpose of link building or search engine optimization. Even in a harsh language, he retorted, "so stick a fork in it: guest blogging is done; it’s just gotten too spammy." Unfortunately, many webmasters did not pay heed to Matt Cutts warning and continued to do guest blogging for links. However, Google whipped the larger guest blogging network, which it will continue to do with others also.  Well, Google wants to break the spirit of those webmasters who are doing guest blogging just for the sake of link building.
