March 21, 2014 - PRLog -- Lowcountry equestrians and art lovers alike won’t want to miss the wonderful exhibit of original contemporary British equestrian art that will be on display April 4 – 6 at the Willcox Hotel in Aikens, SC. The show, entitled “Horsepower from Across the Pond,” will have a second exhibition April 11 – 12 at the National Steeplechase Museum in Camden, SC. Both shows are sponsored by Land Rover Columbia (http://www.landrovercolumbia.com/our-history/).

Lucan Breedlove, general manager of Jaguar Land Rover Columbia, said the dealership is “looking forward to showcasing its newest, most popular vehicles at this signature event. We understand the art of creativity and engineering that result in true appreciation of a fine product, visible in the artwork exhibited at this event and complemented by the presence of our luxury vehicles.”

These exciting works by contemporary British artists represent a wide range of styles from figurative to impressionistic and abstract, using a variety of mediums including oil on canvas, pastels, watercolors, and mixed media. Samples of artworks from the featured British artists can be viewed on the Equestrian Art website (http://www.equestrianartuk.com/products/equestrian).

The exhibition at the Willcox Hotel will kick off with an Exhibition Opening Party featuring wine and hors d'oeuvres, a trunk show of fine Mark Lexton jewelry, and Equestrian Clothing from Equine Divine of Aiken, and door prizes. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Aiken Thoroughbred Racing Hall of Fame and Museum.

The show at the National Steeplechase Museum, which is located on the grounds of the Springdale Racecourse in Camden, will also feature an Exhibition Opening Party with door prizes, the Mark Lexton jewelry trunk show, wine, and hors d'oeuvres.

“Horsepower from Across the Pond” offers Lowcountry residents a terrific opportunity to view and purchase original equestrian art in two lovely settings. In addition, attendees will be able to take a close look at a different kind of “horsepower from across the pond” with the dynamic Land Rover vehicles that will be on display at both exhibitions.
