Customers who complete the checkout process and whose orders were delays by more than two days will receive a free shipping upgrade to USPS Priority Mail (1-3 day domestic service). This upgrade is only available to customers whose shipping destinations are within the United States.

The reason for the intermittent outages involving credit card processing and the company's order processing system were due to EGAN Medical dropping PayPal as its merchant services provider and replacing them with a superior company in Authorize.net.

PayPal had been preventing refunds from being administered, leading to distraught customers and misplaced blame, as customers who were promised (and due) refunds were unable to receive them because PayPal intervened and prevented them from being issued.

Additionally, PayPal is at least appearing increasingly guilty in a chargeback fraud scheme whereby chargebacks were awarded to individuals who made false statements, as determined by claims of non-delivery being routinely proven false beyond any doubt compliments of USPS Delivery Confirmation and USPS Shipment Tracking. Complicating matters was the inherent conflict-of-interest in which PayPal unilaterally awarded itself $20 for every chargeback the increasingly unpopular eBay-owned online payment processing firm sided in favor of the so-called buyer. This provided ample incentive for PayPal to disregard the facts and records in such cases, deciding them on the basis of the $20 commission the company awarded itself at the expense of its own customers --- the seller for each chargeback.

This also explains the aggressive marketing campaign PayPal has undertaken in attempting to pursuade buyers to file fraudulent chargebacks by ensuring them that there will be no criminal penalties for doing so, and they'll get to keep the product and get a full refund.

EGAN Medical sincerely hopes its genuine customers understand the necessity to move forward with this upgrade, including but not limited to the fact that PayPal will NO LONGER be an accepted form of payment in lieu of what EGAN considers to be criminal acts committed by PayPal and/or individual PayPal employees against EGAN Medical.

EGAN would also like to issue its most sincere apologies to customers who attempted to make purchases during this period of downtime, and encourages all who attempted to do so to please contact the company and complete the transactions. All customers whose orders were delayed by two days or more will receive a free shipping upgrade and all customers who complete transactions initiated during this period of downtime will receive a free gift along with their orders.
