The Ken Blanchard Companies Announces New Board Member

April 21, 2014 - PRLog -- SAN DIEGO—The Ken Blanchard Companies^®, a global leader in workplace learning and leadership development, recently announced Sheldon Harris, former President of Cold Stone Creamery, as the newest member of its Board of Directors. Sheldon Harris brings over 20 years of experience in leadership, business strategy, and innovation to the board.

During his 10 years with Cold Stone Creamery, Sheldon Harris helped to build recognition of the now well-known brand. When he left his role as President in 2006, there were 1,400 stores in operation and the franchise was ranked by Entrepreneur Magazine as the 11th fastest-growing franchise in the nation. Prior to this, Sheldon spent 13 years with wholesale giant Costco where he rose from an entry-level position to become one of the youngest Warehouse Managers in company history.

Upon his departure from Cold Stone Creamery, Sheldon launched a company called Trust Funding, an innovative consumer-lending model that helps people get back on their feet after a financial hardship. The program has helped more than 5,000 people and is now expanding across the country.

Sheldon currently serves as CEO for Complete Nutrition, a 175-unit franchisor of nutrition stores based in Omaha, Nebraska. Their consultative service model is uniquely differentiated within their industry and is poised for substantial growth in the years ahead.

He also serves in advisory roles for Job Brokers, Y Scouts, Choose Local, Iron Tribe, Language Twin, and the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Northern Arizona University. He is an also an advisor for two business incubators: Northern Arizona Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology, and Center for Entrepreneurial Innovation. Sheldon is a frequent speaker and guest lecturer at professional and corporate events throughout the country.
