The MAGIC Foundation to Hold Virtual Run/Walk using Sociercise Fundraising Platform

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - April 23, 2014 - PRLog -- The MAGIC Foundation announced today that they will be using the Sociercise Racing Platform to host a virtual fundraising run/walk event.  The event period is scheduled for May 13^th-26th and registration for participants will open on April 29th.  The event may be virtual, as in not in a single location at a single time, but the money and the need is real.  The MAGIC Foundation is hoping to raise funds through this event to support their mission of providing support and education to families of children, and affected adults, with endocrine disorders.

The MAGIC Foundation chose to host this event using the Sociercise Racing Platform to enable supporters from all over the world to support their cause.  The platform allows any participant with an iPhone to collect pledges for each mile that they complete during the multi-day event period. The event period, which begins on May 13th will allow participants to run or walk anytime and anywhere during the event to log their miles in support of the organization.  Supporters of The MAGIC Foundation can support the organization with pledge opportunities ranging from 50 cents a mile to more than $10 a mile creating increased motivation for participants to maximize their running or walking during the event.
