Follow on Google News | Hamline Cares supports Disabled American VeteransProfessor Andrews’ Foundations of Management class at Hamline University exceeds expectations when it comes to supporting veterans.
By: Hamline Cares Hamline Cares is a student organization founded by the students in Professor Andrews’ Foundations of Management class at Hamline University. Each year, students are responsible for planning and implementing a Service Learning Project within one semester, to raise money for a local non-profit organization. Registration and check-in begins at 8:00 am. The 5k begins at 9:00 am. At roughly 3.1 miles around Lake Phalen, it takes just under an hour to walk. Pre-registration is $20 and $25 on race day. No registration is required for children 10 and under. A $5 off discount applies to teams and families of four or more who register at the same time, or students. Parking is provided at 1600 Phalen Drive, Saint Paul 55106 Lunch and refreshments will be available for purchase after the race; however, water stations and post-race snacks will be provided by local businesses. Local businesses have also donated door prizes for participants to win. Door prize tickets are available for a suggested donation. Veterans and active duty military members will be provided an extra door prize ticket.
