Multi-Cultural Romance Novel: New Release – Desperate for More, Part II by Yuwanda Black

May 15, 2014 - PRLog -- In the first part of this short, interracial love story, struggling advertising copywriter Kingston falls in love with New York billionaire Christian Grant on a Caribbean island. Their quick marriage doesn't sit well with his blue-blood family, especially his brother, the dangerous Thomas.

And, to top it off, Kingston and Christian's marriage starts off rocky -- so rocky that she asks him for a divorce. Refusing to give her one, Christian is determined to get their marriage back on track because he loves his wife. Just as they manage to get back on solid marital ground, Thomas becomes even more of a threat.

Kingston is afraid to go to her husband for fear that he'll believe his brother over her. Following is an excerpt from the concluding part of this searing, dangerous love story.

PROLOGUE

"I told you'd we'd have our chance, fair Kingston," Thomas said. She could smell the alcohol on his breath.

"What are you doing here? How did you get in?" she asked.

"Why I have a key, of course. I told you, my brother and I share everything – including keys to each other's residences," he said, advancing on her.

"I think you'd better leave," Kingston said, frightened but unwilling to let him see it. "Now," she said sternly.

"I'm not going anywhere until I get what I came for," Thomas said, standing directly in front of her.

"And what is that exactly?" Kingston said, standing her ground.

"Why you, of course dear sister-in-law," he said, grabbing her by the waist and pulling her hard to him.

"And just who do you think my brother is going to believe – you or me?" Thomas said smugly. "Blood is thicker than water Kingston, especially Grant blood. You're the interloper here; the gold digger. So feel free to test my theory at any time. In fact, I welcome it."

The tenuous trust she and Christian had built over the last few months flashed through her mind. Their love was deepening, but she wasn't sure it could stand the test of something like this.

Would Christian believe her?

Would it destroy the foundation of what they were building?

Or, would it cost her everything?
