Follow on Google News | One week now before Eastbourne Book FestThis years event looks to be bigger than ever and MyVoice Publishing are proud that not only are we sponsoring it, but many of our authors will be reading their works at the event.
This year there are three days, starting on Friday the 30th May. MyVoice's hot new poet, Laurie Wilkinson, whose work has recently been published in the Daily Mail, will be reading and talking to visitors at the Little Chelsea Antiques Emporium from 10 till 12 on the Friday and at the Eucalyptus and Parika Tea House from 10 till 11.30 on the Saturday - do drop by and have a chat, and listen to him read a poem while enjoying a coffee or tea. On the Sunday from 11.30 till 1pm Rex Sumner will be talking at the Towner on self publishing while other authors including Elizabeth Wright and Tony Flood will have their books on display at the Towner for purchase and signing. A full programme of events can be found at http://eastbournebookfest.com/ From 5-6pm at the Towner will be prize giving for the writing competition, all of which will be published in a short story anthology of the event, New and Different. Last years book was The Word Is Out with a wonderful cover by local artist Gillian Toft. Our Local MP and Patron Stephen Lloyd will award the prizes. End
