Release of Grand Arena of Serndall Will Support Browser Platforms in Multiple Operating Systems

KITCHENER, Ontario - May 22, 2014 - PRLog -- The Grand Arena of Serndall, Barbed Arrow Game’s upcoming release, will initially support all popular browser platforms for Microsoft Windows, Macintosh OS X, and various distributions of Linux.  According to Dave Baker, lead designer on the project, the game will support modern browsers across multiple platforms.

“The Grand Arena of Serndall is a browser-based game utilizing modern HTML5/JSON standards on the Montage front-end framework. Requiring no plugins, the game will be playable on common HTML5-compliant browsers for smartphones, tablets, and desktop/laptop computers. Supported browsers include Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Opera and Internet Explorer.”

The decision to focus on HTML5/JSON standards ensures that players will experience a rich playing environment without the inherent issues involved with Java and Flash.  “We want our players engaged in the dynamic of the game, not in the tedium of troubleshooting plugins,” Baker said. “Stability of the code means better performance and increased play time, and ultimately a more positive experience for the player.”

The choice also means that the dynamic environment of the game will translate well to mobile format, both with tablet and smartphone, allowing the player to be fully engaged on any device, large or small.
