Hendriks has been on the LIBS volunteer leadership team for more than 10 years, working within the hospital market segment and the Rockville Centre Diocese communicating the need for donations. Hendriks has assisted the Long Island Blood Center with creative strategies and media outreach. Hendriks oversees public relations, marketing and communications for the multifaceted system, which includes six hospitals, three nursing homes, a home care and hospice network and an agency serving Long Islanders with special needs. Hendriks is also the health care system’s spokesperson. She resides in Islip with her husband and three children.
