ATLANTA - June 4, 2014 - PRLog -- Atlanta, GA (June 4, 2014) – Non-profit, Go Eat Give (http://www.goeatgive.com), is hosting Destination Nepal dinner at Nepali eatery Himalayan Spice located at 2773 Clairmont Road, Atlanta on Saturday, June 14th at 7:00pm.

“Many may have a visual image of what Nepal is like, but when you visit the country, you experience not only the landscape, but its warm hospitality, honest people, great food and cultural nuances,” says Sucheta Rawal, founder of Go Eat Give. After visiting Nepal withVolunteers Initiative Nepal (http://www.volunteeringnepal.org/) for a volunteer vacation trip, Sucheta learned that the country is rich with natural beauty and architecture, but lacking basic infrastructure, educated teachers, and conveniences we take for granted in the West. Now, with the Destination Dinner, the organization’s founder is bringing the rich culture of Nepal to Atlanta.

The venue, Himalayan Spice, is a recent addition to Atlanta’s bustling foodie scene. The menu for the event will include chicken choila, mo mo, bara, chau chau, and more. “Not many people know about Nepal, let alone Nepali culture, food, and special traditions,” notes restaurateur Sujit. “We are delighted to be hosting this event in our restaurant to make people aware of our small country that’s on top of the world!”

The evening will feature guest speaker, Nepali native and Atlanta based CNN journalist, Sugam Pokharel. Mr Pokharel produced a documentary on kidney trafficking in Nepal, which will be released on June 27.

Finally, a group of Nepali students will perform traditional folk dances.

Attendees can register by visiting Destination Nepal Event Page on Eventbrite. (http://www.eventbrite.com/e/go-eat-give-destination-nepal...)
