Puppet School Launches Its New Website

But that's not all that's new.  Puppet School, the only puppeteer training center in Los Angeles, has created a class for our younger puppet enthusiasts.

Puppet Making for Children

Sunday, July 20th, send your youngsters to Puppet School!  In this 2-hour workshop, the kids will go step-by-step, tracing, cutting, hot gluing (with very low temperature glue guns), and decorating their own puppets, all under the supervision of our talented and friendly builders.  Parents are invited to the last 30 minutes to watch your kiddies perform with their new friends.  Designed for kids ages 5 to 11 years old.

6/29/14 - One-Day Puppet Making Workshop

In this 7-hour class, you will cut, glue, and sew your own version of our monster design. Our simple and easy to follow pattern allows for nearly unlimited customization, so the character you create is really up to you and your glue gun.

8/11/14 - Beginning Theatrical Puppetry

In this 6-six course, you will learn the basics of lip-sync, eye focus, and characterization through simple choreography, improvisation, and scripted monologues. You'll gain experience with rod-arm, live-hand, and shadow puppet techniques while expanding your own skills as an actor.
