Rai University Organized Industrial Visit – Swati Switchgears Pvt. Ltd on 14th March, 2014

AHMEDABAD, India - June 11, 2014 - PRLog -- On 14^th March, 2014, Corporate Resource Cell of Rai University, Ahmedabad organized an Industry visit to Swati Switchgears Company. All the B.Tech Engineering students of Electrical Department, second semester visited the industry Swati Switchgears Pvt. Ltd.  Swati Switchgears Pvt. Ltd is an ISO 9001:2008 certified Company involved in designing, manufacturing and supply of SF6 / VCB Panels up to 33KV, Busducts, Relay Control Panels (upto 132KV) power control center and motor control center. In addition, the company is engaged in all types of manufacturing control / instrumentation panels, PLC / Drives / Soft Starter Panels, AMF & Auto Synchronizing Panels, Load Management Solutions etc.

The visit was organized to help students understand the functionality of LT panels in power distribution, synchronizing panel-receiving power with synchronizing for different generators & grid, Busduct Power Distribution, among others. Students were divided into three groups and each group visited different departments of the manufacturing plant like Assembly & Wiring, Testing Facility and Fabrication unit to understand the correct usage of the Switch Gear & Protection, Power electronics Device & Circuits. Also, the students got the information on design, manufacturing and supply of SF6/VCB Panels up to 33KV, Busducts, Relay Control Panels (upto 132KV). Information on other products like Power Control Center, Motor Control Center all types of Control / Instrumentation Panels, PLC / Drives / Soft Starter Panels, etc. were also given to the students.

The visit was very well coordinated by Mr. Samir Jha (Vice President) and Mr. Kalpesh Raval (Production Head) of the company. It was a wonderful learning experience for all our students to get the insights about the manufacturing and production department. They received the in-depth understanding of the industry through practical knowledge.
