“Road to Ready” Radio Show Returns with Exciting Information on Emergencies

SPRING BRANCH, Texas - June 12, 2014 - PRLog -- Everyone can be better prepared for the next emergency. The Road to Ready radio show, a national award-winning program hosted by emergency expert Rick Tobin, has returned to the air with that continued goal at www.theroadtoready.com. There is no registration to use the site and the shows are free for everyone. Each show features exciting information directly from those in the know, including breaking news found nowhere else on the Internet. When the show initially closed in 2009 there were 10,000 listeners visiting each week from over 90 countries. As one show follower wrote, “I always learn new things from what you share online. Your information is different from anything the crowd is posting. It’s exciting, original and full of insight and useful ideas. You obviously aren’t afraid to tell the truth about what works and what fails.”

The Road to Ready features insightful interviews, helpful ideas, new technology tools, and useful advice with one objective: to provide a few basic concepts each week that listeners can use to ensure they are safer in case of any interruption life may bring. Special guests on the show include an expert on a specific topic area. Show 1 focused on civilian drone use in emergencies. Show 2 focused on grants and grant writing. Show 3 addressed the new uses of wireless communications as technology moves from WIFI to LIFI. The Road to Ready also has segments about new emergency ideas from Canada, called “Up North.” Rick also added segments on issues for school and university preparedness as well as occasional interviews with military veterans seeking positions in emergency-related fields. Rick also provides opinion, including his recent insight on the history of violent attacks on U.S. schools and why they will continue.

Rick was asked about why the Road to Ready is so important. He replied, “My core value is this: life is precious and must be preserved, protected, sustained and revered, whether human, animal, plant or the planet. We are all tied together in a moment of existence. It is our purpose to serve each other, at all times, to meet that responsibility. Without that commitment, we are just taking up space.”

The Road to Ready host, Rick Tobin, has acted as the President of TAO Emergency Management Consulting for twenty-seven years.  He has over thirty years of experience in emergency services and management in the U.S. from coast-to-coast. Rick is a well-known advocate for personal preparedness and the use of the Internet to promote emergency awareness.
