Last year, FAWL presented Leesfield with the 2013 Philanthropist Award for his 20 years of law student scholarships to prominent female students. Leesfield & Partners was the first organization to fund FAWL scholarships and has continued for over two decades. The Leesfield Family Foundation was the first charitable organization to fund a scholarship to FAWL law student members. The Leesfield Family Foundation concentrates on local, national and international organizations dedicated to help the less fortunate, in particular, children and the elderly. LFF has three primary goals: to help those less fortunate and needy in the South Florida community, to grant student scholarships designated to law students who demonstrate a commitment to preserving the civil justice system, and to lend support to national and international causes such as the Clinton Foundation, and immediate and direct aid for natural disasters. Just recently, Mr. Leesfield was presented with the “Citation of Honor” award by the Fatherhood Task Force of South Florida, for his commitment to “Fathers Education Day.” He has received the prestigious “Judge Learned Hand Award” presented by American Jewish Committee, Big Brothers/Big Sisters honored him with the “Miracle Maker” award for his tireless support and contribution to the organization and Leesfield has received the Anti-Defamation League’s prestigious “Jurisprudence Award. Leesfield was also honored by the Florida Region of American ORT as the first recipient in Florida of the “American ORT Jurisprudence Award” and he has been honored with the “Melvin Belli Award” for outstanding practitioner of advocacy and for exercising extraordinary initiative in prosecuting cases that benefit public interest. Leesfield is founder and managing partner of Leesfield & Partners, P.A., with offices in Miami, Key West, South Beach and Central Florida. He is board certified by the National Board of Trial Advocates and now serves as board member of the certification board. Leesfield received his Bachelors of Arts and his Juris Doctor at the University of Florida.
