Greene County Hires CGR to Develop Countywide EMS Model

WINDHAM, N.Y. - June 25, 2014 - PRLog -- Greene County, NY, has engaged CGR to develop a model for a Countywide Ambulance Operational Organization aimed at enhancing service delivery, increasing efficiency, streamlining processes, reducing costs, and improving EMS response times. The countywide model may involve the consolidation of the existing sixteen organizations providing EMS services to Greene County.

The study will be led by CGR and the Greene County Countywide Ambulance Task Force and will encompass two phases.  The first phase will document the current EMS response environment in Greene County through data collection and interviews with regional stakeholders and public safety agencies, culminating in a baseline report. The baseline report will include an analysis of EMS data and response time options for consideration by the Task Force. In the second phase, CGR will provide the Task Force with several options for resource deployment based on the selection of preferred response times.

Greene County is located in the Catskill Mountain Region of NY and is home to about 49,000 full time residents and 7,000 part-time residents and vacationers.  The County is made up of fourteen towns and has five villages.

The study will be completed in the fall of 2014.
