FORT WORTH, Texas - June 26, 2014 - PRLog -- Championship Bull Riding (CBR) is proud announce Monroe, Louisiana native Andy Stewart will join eight time World Champion Bull Rider Don Gay in the announcer’s booth for next month’s CBR Road to Cheyenne World Finals held in conjunction with Cheyenne Frontier Days in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

“His enthusiasm is contagious and we are thrilled he is part of our team”, stated Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Benny Cude from the national headquarters of Championship Bull Riding located in the Fort Worth Stockyards.

The forty three year old from Collinston, La., is making his third trip to the “Daddy of ‘Em All” Frontier Park rodeo arena. It is an achievement Stewart is proud to list as one of the highlights of his career.  For twelve consecutive years Stewart has been selected as a member of the CBR World Finals production staff including announcing one of the first CBR tour stops held in Huntsville, Alabama in 2002.

Andy got his start in a small town near Monroe, Louisiana, where the Burl Stewart family used to practice their favorite sport in the family roping arena. Andy would imitate the professional calls he heard from the rodeo announcers as they roped. In 1991, tired of listening to the “call of the rodeo” day in and day out, that roper’s mom dared her oldest son to try announcing professionally. “The first real gig I did I was clueless, but everyone said I did well so it just sort of snowballed from then”, said Andy Stewart, the house arena announcer recently selected for the upcoming CBR World Finals.

Bull riding fans will recognize Andy’s voice from the hundreds of rodeos he works including the Southeastern Circuit Finals, the RAM National Circuit Finals and in March of this year he was one of the in house voices in front of 35,000 rodeo fans attending the inaugural “American” competition, held at the Dallas AT & T Stadium.  Stewart is a five time PRCA announcer of the year nominee, but is appropriately branded as the “fastest brain in bull riding”. Stewart is known to study for months learning each and every detail of the cowboys and the stock they attempt to ride. Immediately following the performance Stewart will film a “video wrap-up” featuring his enthusiastic color commentary and his distinctive ability to take the internet and social media audience to a place they cannot see.

“I am really excited that Tuff and the CBR are including me in the bull riding at Cheyenne Frontier Days. It’s a privilege to be in one of the great arenas of all time and work alongside two bull riding legends.” stated Andy Stewart. We caught up with Andy in between rodeos for an in depth look at the man behind the microphone.

Stewart and his wife Shelley live in Collinston, Louisiana with their son Kash (20) and daughter Shaye (18). Stewart is sponsored by Cinch Jeans, Hy O Silver, and J & H Boots and Jeans located in West Monroe, Louisiana. To contact Andy email him at Therodeovoicela@aol.com.
