MANCHESTER, U.K. - June 27, 2014 - PRLog -- City Break - New York

“An updo is the easiest way to keep cool in humid weather, plus it looks super chic so will make sure you fit in perfectly amongst stylish city types.

“A low bun, with a side plait for detail, is effortlessly elegant and actually very easy to recreate.  Make sure you start with frizz-free hair –Wella Professionals Mirror Polish (£9.30, Supercuts) is great for beating those pesky flyways.

“Next, make a side parting and section off a 2-3 inch length of hair at the front. Then simply braid the hair, working down your hairline and bringing in sections of hair, like a French plait, as you go along to anchor the braid.  Repeat on the other side.

“Once you meet the nape of the neck, gather the remaining length of hair and twist it into a rough bun and secure with small grips. Finish with a spritz of light hairspray like Wella Professionals Super Set (£12.20 Supercuts salons) to make sure hair can breathe, and you’re done.”

Beach Break - Greece

“A braided updo will keep you going through day to night.  At the beach, choose a halo braid to keep hair out of your way and avoid damage.  Take it out at the beach bar later in the afternoon for the original and best beach-babe waves, complete with authentic sea salt-spray.

“Remember to protect your hair and scalp in the soaring temperatures by opting for a UV protecting hairspray, such as TIGI Oh Bee Hive! (£12.95, Supercuts).

“Take an intensive moisturising mask or leave-in conditioner such as Redken Colour All Soft Heavy Cream (£21.25, Supercuts) for the days when you feel hair needs an extra boost after frolicking in the sun.

Clubbing Holiday – Ibiza

“Whichever party destination you go to this summer – make sure you go with a pop of colour; Katy Perry, Lily Allen and Kylie Jenner are just some of the many celebs rocking the trend.

“On holiday, hair chalks are more likely to fade with chlorine and sea water. They can also make hair dry, flattening the cuticle and limiting styling possibilities.

“If you want a longer-lasting alternative, Supercuts colour salons offer semi-permanent slices from just £3.95 each.  The added bonus of custom colour makes it a sure-fire way to stand out at the poolside, or on the beach.  Just be sure to protect colour with a specialist shampoo and conditioner from Redken Colour Extend range (Shampoo £13.25 and Conditioner £14.50, Supercuts).

Festival Fun – Bestival

“In the past few years, the go-to festival look has been all about recreating the perfect waves – but this year tresses are set to be messy, embracing a natural kink.

“All you need is some good quality salt-spray and hairspray for a laidback look that oozes cool.

“If you’re camping, brush through hair when you wake up and backcomb the roots slightly before spraying a light mist of TIGI Oh Beehive! (£13.95, Supercuts). Then turn your head upside down and spray a good amount of Paul Mitchell Soft Spray (£10.75, Supercuts) all over, scrunching until dry.”

Supercuts believes that good looks cost less. With over 160 salons nationwide and no appointment necessary, guests can get great advice and style without the high-end price with haircuts starting from £14.95.  For more information, please visit www.supercuts.co.uk
