Atmospheric Plasma Robot System for Surface Treatment

By: Henniker Plasma

WARRINGTON, U.K. - June 27, 2014 - PRLog -- Henniker announce the release of its new automated atmospheric plasma robot for surface activation of polymers to improve adhesion.
The fully automated device is available in table-top or cart mounted configurations and can accommodate Henniker’s single or dual nozzle atmospheric plasma sources. A 5-phase stepping motor drives the plasma head over 3 axes to deliver accurate and reproducible surface treatment of a wide  range of materials. Standard options allow for up to 500 x 500mm of XY motion and 150mm of Z motion. The unit is fully programmable and has the capacity to store up to 255 programs each with up to 30,000 data points.
Both the table-top and cart mounted versions can be delivered with optional safety light guard and are perfectly suited to routine production tasks where localised treatment of surfaces is required to increase surface energy prior to dispensing adhesives.

Automated Plasma Treatment:

200mm to 500mm XY travel options
255 stored programs
Up to 30,000 data points
16 I/O channels
Safety light curtain protection
Bench or cart mounted
