IPEVO's Newest Product is the 70" Projection Screen with Magnetic Backing

The screen turns most any flat surface into a whiteboard which may be written upon with traditional dry erase markers. Its distinct visual enhancements also mean the screen can be used as a projection surface. The 70" Projection Screen comes on the heels of IPEVO's 60" screen, a smaller size intended for younger elementary school learners. The 70" screen – whose ample size encourages student participation and interaction – is appropriate for students at the middle school, high school and college levels. It measures 43.3 inches high by 57.9 inches wide, equivalent to a 70" television screen with a 4:3 aspect ratio.

The screen itself is a high-quality and non-adhesive sheet with a magnetic backing that can be applied to an existing whiteboard or any magnetic surface. Because of a unique coating applied to the screen's surface, the screen provides a better visual experience than conventional classroom whiteboards. This coating allows light (whether ambient or projected) to spread evenly across the surface, resulting in a maximized viewing angle of 180/180. Thus, even students off to the extreme sides of the screen can view and understand projected or written teaching material.

Another advantage the 70" Projection Screen has over conventional whiteboards involves reflectivity. Standard whiteboards are highly reflective, and glare often becomes an issue for students viewing the board, particularly when it comes to text. The Projection Screen's coated surface enhances both contrast and sharpness while also reducing or eliminating glare. This makes the viewing experience more pleasant and less tiring on the eyes. Projected material at up to full HD resolution also benefits from these enhancements. Blurriness and distortion are similarly reduced or eliminated during projection.

The lightweight screen is rugged yet flexible and can be rolled up for compact storage and transportation. It is small enough to be carried in the trunk or back seat of a car, for example. The magnetic backing of the screen is similarly pliable, and can be affixed to existing whiteboards or other magnetic surfaces without tools or other adhesives. Alternatively, IPEVO advises the use of high-strength bonding tape or Velcro strips for permanent or semi-permanent installations onto non-magnetic walls and surfaces.

A wide variety of popular dry erase marker brands have been tested and approved for use with the projection screen. Marks can be wiped clean just as with a standard whiteboard. Additionally, IPEVO bills the 70" Projection Screen as an ideal companion accessory for the company's IS-01 Interactive Whiteboard System, which allows projected computer screens to be interacted with via a special Interactive Pen.
