In Home Pet Services, Inc. donates $3000 to Long Island Rescue Groups!

BAYSIDE, N.Y. - July 14, 2014 - PRLog -- The 4th Annual ‘Mayday for Mutts’ held by Robyn Elman, President and founder of In Home Pet Services, Inc., (IHPS), is happy to announce that this year’s collection was able to help two local animal rescue groups! Collecting $3,000 worth of pet products pet products, (leashes, crates, beds, collars, pet food toys and more), and donated to Second Loves Chance and Unchained New York animal rescue groups both based on Long Island, NY.  Mayday for Mutts is a month long pet product drive in May to collect and then donate much, needed pet products to a local rescue group.

Robyn Elman, founder and President of In Home Pet Services, Inc. said, “Every year we have done this drive, I am elated by the amount our clients, franchises and friends are able to donate.  It’s incredibly heartwarming to be able to be able to organize this drive and have our entire community get involved to help.” Elman went on to say, “We are so happy that we could collect enough to help two deserving animal rescue groups that are in constant need of supplies and don’t have the budgets to purchase them on their own.  Both groups do a tremendous amount for our shelter animals, owned dogs who’s families may have fallen on hard times and need the help.”

Robyn Elman came up with concept three years ago as many of her clients were asking her where they could donate a gently used crate or leash. Each year a different rescue group or groups are selected; it is a win-win and a green way to give back as well.  Robyn collects all the products at the IHPS location in Bellerose, N.Y., for the month long event and some of the franchisee locations also participate in the collection.
