SkyeTek releases UHF RFID Fixed Reader, the SuperNova

DENVER - July 24, 2014 - PRLog -- SkyeTek, Inc. ( http://www.skyetek.com ), a leader in RFID Solutions and HF and UHF Reader Technology, today announced the release of its new Ultra High Frequency fixed reader, the SkyeReader SuperNova. The SuperNova is based on SkyeTek’s Nova Moudle ( http://www.skyetek.com/products/rfid/skyemodule-nova ), and takes advantage of the Nova’s fast and efficient Arm Cortex M0 micro controller and the latest UHF chip technology.

With a footprint smaller than a business card, the SuperNova is the world’s smallest fixed RFID reader.  Based on SkyeTek’s latest UHF reader technology, this new reader brings RFID within reach with an incredibly small size, 2 SMA connectors, and USB connectivity.

The SuperNova reader is designed to be easy to use so that you can deploy your RFID solution quickly and without hassle. It provides USB plug-and-play functionality by utilizing the HID drivers, and does not require any other power source besides USB to achieve maximum output power. Each antenna port can be selected via software, and utilizes SkyeTek’s Adaptive Antenna Tuning, so that any antenna can be connected and automatically tuned for optimal performance.

Because of its small size, the SuperNova can go where other fixed readers can’t. It is the perfect reader for:
