By: Federalist Society Las Vegas Chapter WHAT: Special luncheon presentation by the authors of “Obama’s Enforcer,” John Fund, an American political journalist, and Hans A. von Spakovsky, Senior Legal Fellow at the Heritage Foundation WHEN: Monday, August 11 at 11:45 a.m. WHERE: Fogo de Chao Churrascaria Restaurant, 360 E. Flamingo Road, Las Vegas, Nev. “Obama’s Enforcer” details how the DOJ has seemingly become a hotbed of left-wing legal activism. The book delves into the close personal association of Holder and Obama, describes the politicization of the Department of Justice, and provides in-depth portraits of the lawyers in Holder’s inner circle. Endorsed by U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz and radio talk show host Mark Levin, the book, released just last month, is the first investigative look inside the country's largest law enforcement agency and the first attorney general in history to be held in contempt by the House of Representatives, but retain his position. General admission to the luncheon is $45. State, county and city attorneys as well as students are invited to attend at a discounted rate of $35 per person. Members of the media are invited to attend the luncheon at no cost. Attorneys can receive one continuing legal education (CLE) credit for attending the luncheon. To RSVP or for details about CLE credit, contact Lynn Warren at 702-331-3219, lvfedsoc@yahoo.com. The Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies is a group of conservatives and libertarians interested in the current state of the legal order. It is founded on the principles that the state exists to preserve freedom, that the separation of governmental powers is central to our Constitution, and that it is emphatically the province and duty of the judiciary to say what the law is, not what it should be. The Society seeks both to promote an awareness of these principles and to further their application through its activities. For more information: End
