Tuff Hedeman Set to Celebrate 11 Years of the Red Wilk Construction Bull Bash In Huron

HURON, S.D. - Aug. 1, 2014 - PRLog -- South Dakota bull riding fans it is time to mark your calendar for August 27^th and 28^th.  If you like high energy, live action, 8 seconds at a time then CBR has just the thing for you! Championship Bull Riding (CBR) kicks off the 2014-15 Road to Cheyenne Tour in Huron, South Dakota with a two night bash as the lead Grandstand event of the South Dakota State Fair. The Red Wilk Construction CBR Bull Bash presented by the South Dakota State Fair will begin on August 27^th at 8 PM with the CBR Horizon Series event which will include a long round and a bounty bull.  Thursday night’s lineup will follow the revolutionary 8 Second Format featuring a tournament style of competition. The action gets underway at 8 p.m. with 24 bull riders doing their best to stay on for eight seconds in round one so they can advance to the semifinals. The 12 top scores get to ride in the semifinals with the best four advancing to a Shoot Out round where the bulk of $30,000 in prize money is paid.

This year’s show will be the tenth appearance for CBR in Huron and will kick off the 129 year old State Fair tradition in South Dakota.  Four time World Champion and CBR President Tuff Hedeman will host the event which will feature 24 of the top riders in the world against the rankest bulls in the country. The two hour adrenaline packed show will air on Fox Sports Network as part of the Road to Cheyenne.

The Red Wilk Construction CBR Bull Bash at the South Dakota State Fair will be the first stop on the Road to Cheyenne Tour.  It is the 11^th year for the CBR bull riders to compete at the South Dakota State Fairgrounds.

CBR has become known for their action-packed performances that keep fans on the edge of their seats. That is largely due to the influence of four-time world champion bull rider Tuff Hedeman who coordinates every element and attends to the smallest details. From having great bulls matched up with super star riders, to upbeat music and enthusiastic fans, the CBR Bull Bash will be second to none.

The competition is also part of the CBR Million Dollar Bull Team Challenge. Bull owners will bring three bulls that are featured during the first two rounds of competition. Those bulls receive points for their performance in the arena. Additionally, the time the bull rider stays on is added to the bull’s score. At the end of the night, the owner with the three highest-scoring bulls will receive $25,000.

Immediately following the bull riding, fans will get a chance to meet get autographs from Tuff Hedeman and the winning bull riders of the CBR.
