Bentyne’s beautiful voice, wide range, versatility, and impressive stage presence made her a major asset for the popular vocal group from the start. Her recently released album, Let’s Misbehave: The Cole Porter Songbook, has been recognized by many as the jazz album of the year. Bentyne not only delivers the music of Cole Porter as no one else can, sprinkled throughout the show are love letters written by Cole Porter himself. The audiences are delighted as Bentyne receives standing ovations. His 11th CD, released in August 2011, was named as one of the top 5 jazz CDs of the year by Jazz Times magazine. It went high on the Jazz Week charts and got great reviews from over 26 critics including The Seattle Times, Don Heckman and All About Jazz. It featured a duet between him and vocalist supreme Barbara Morrison, as well as such A-list musicians as Billy Childs, Anthony Wilson, Bob Sheppard and Grant Geissman. BETTY BRYANT has performed internationally in the Middle East and Brazil, and for many years was a popular regular attraction at the upscale Tableaux Lounge in Tokyo, Japan. She had a long-term engagement at celebrity chef Susan Feniger’s exciting new restaurant “Street” in Hollywood in 2009, and in 2012 she was a featured performer at the Boquete Jazz and Blues Festival in Boquete, Panama.
