About the Author

Doreen Perera was raised in Sri Lanka. These stories are based on her childhood there, where her father managed a tea plantation. She earned a BA from the University of Ceylon, and a master’s from the University of Washington, Seattle. There she met her husband and moved with him to Germany, where she raised three children. Now widowed and retired, she has time to pursue her writing.
