Follow on Google News | Elder Sun to Appear on Episode 6 of The Electric Lunch HourEpisode 6 of Season 1 promises to rock out with Elder Sun in one of the best live music venues in Georgia - Dixie Tavern!
By: Dirty South TV Elder Sun started as a chance meeting between singer/songwriter Michael Crowe and bassist Paul Yaffe in late 2012 during a song-writing session with a mutual friend. After experimenting with several musicians, Paul and Michael called upon drummer, Reni Rivera, who had worked with Paul on several studio projects in the past. What started out as a simple songwriting project between Michael, Paul and Reni quickly turned into something more worthy of the stage. In just under a year, the band has played at Masquerade, Red Hare Brewery, 10 High, Red Clay Theatre, Bone Lick and 120 Tavern. Their music has been regularly featured on Radio 105.7 Locals Only and Rock 100.5 Local Licks. Their song influences come from classic, familiar rock sounds from Tom Petty to REM, from Nirvana to Kings of Leon, from Neil Young to the Foo Fighters. Elder Sun is made up of band members Michael Crowe, Paul Yaffe and Reni. Michael Crowe is a local singer/songwriter from Hiram, GA who has played in other acts such as Pepper Green and Lola. Paul Yaffe was a long time musician from Virginia, who played in such acts as Seraph and Hooch Phunk Swell. Reni is a long time session drummer from the Chicago metro area. Elder Sun bring their rock edge to the stage at Dixie Tavern on Friday, August 22, 2014 in front of a live audience.
