OSP Best & Brightest Companies to Work For

DETROIT - Aug. 8, 2014 - PRLog -- Every year companies throughout Metro Detroit compete to be named one of “Metropolitan Detroit’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For.™”  Only companies that distinguish themselves as having the most innovative and thoughtful human resources approach can be bestowed this honor. These select companies will be honored by the Michigan Business and Professional Association (MBPA) on Tues., Sept. 23 at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center.

One Source Provider was named one of the winning companies and will also compete for 12 elite awards, one granted for each category. Also, an overall winner that has excelled in all categories will be honored with a “Best of the Best Overall” award. The elite award winners will be revealed during the luncheon.

Also this year the Best and Brightest Companies To Work For™ awards program has raised the bar with a new category. Winners will be pooled by the size of their company. Employers with 50 or less employees will be benchmarked together and all companies, no matter their size, can be a Best and Brightest Company to Work For™ resulting in better business, richer lives and stronger communities.

After submitting company surveys, OSP was judged on; Compensation, Benefits and Employee Solutions; Employee Enrichment, Engagement and Retention; Employee Education and Development; Recruitment, Selection and Orientation; Employee Achievement and Recognition; Communication and Shared Vision; Diversity and Inclusion; Work-Life Balance; Community Initiatives; Strategic Company Performance and the Best of the Best Small Business. The annual human resources symposium and awards program will begin with registration, networking and an exhibit gallery at 7:30 a.m. Educational workshops will follow at 8:30 a.m. The topics of this year’s sessions will include “Managing Culture and Engagement in Rapid Growth and Changing Environment,” and “Talent Shortage - Finding and Keeping the Right Talent.” Doug Rothwell, president and CEO of Business Leaders for Michigan is this year’s Keynote speaker. The luncheon and awards ceremony begin at 11 a.m.
