By: Frog Bikes Frog Bikes and Team Sky are both passionate about encouraging children to get cycling, and are working together to create a practical, attractive proposition for children and their parents that will inspire them to take to the saddle. They believe the new range, to be unveiled at Eurobike this month, will be a leap forward for children’s cycling. The Team Sky Kids’ Bike range is suitable for children aged between 2 and 14 and includes a balance bike, first pedal bike and a variety of sizes in hybrid and road bikes. From their first moments on a balance bike to their first race, the range gives all children the opportunity to learn key skills, gain confidence and, most importantly, have fun whilst cycling through the different developmental stages. Each bike in the range features exactly what you would expect from a Frog Bike – lightweight frame and componentry designed specifically for the younger rider. The new range carries the iconic Team Sky blue line used throughout the team’s kit, including the bikes. These children’s bikes will make youngsters feel like a pro and look the part too. All models include the following features: · Lightweight frames · Quality componentry · Slim-grip brakes · Narrow handlebars The affordable range will be available to buy in independent cycle stores this autumn, priced from £100 to £450. Carsten Jeppesen, Head of Technical Operations at Team Sky comments, “As experts in producing and developing kids’ bikes, Frog Bikes has created an impressive range, which is superbly designed for young riders, and is continually striving to create the very best lightweight bikes. Frog share our determination to give children the best opportunity to enjoy cycling. We are delighted that Frog is making our range of children’s lightweight bikes, and hope that this range will encourage more children to enjoy cycling, at all levels.” Joel Keoghan, Head of Brand at Team Sky explains, “From the start of Team Sky one of our main ambitions was to help inspire more people, of all ages and abilities, to get on their bikes and enjoy cycling. The exciting next step for us is to work closely with Frog to help create the new range of Team Sky Kids’ Bikes to encourage the next generation of cyclists to get out and enjoy the freedom of cycling. The precision and rigor that goes into producing each Frog Bike is very impressive and is one of the main reasons we decided to join forces with them. As a team, we’re known for our dedication in leaving nothing to chance and looking for every small improvement, so it’s important that we work with likeminded partners who share the same principles.” Jerry Lawson of Frog Bikes comments, "Frog Bikes is dedicated to making cycling fun and accessible for children of all ages, so we're over the moon to be collaborating with Team Sky. With our shared passion for performance, design and a love of cycling, we are excited to launch this brand new range of high-quality and lightweight kids' bikes to make cycling more fun for children" End For more information please contact Georgina Lineton: Georgina@brandnation.co.uk or visit teamsky.com/ About Frog Bikes Innovative, kid’s lightweight British bike brand Frog Bikes manufactures a range of Balance Bikes, Hybrid Bikes and Road Bikes from super-lightweight aluminium which makes it easier for children to learn to ride as well as making handling easier for parents.
