Big dreams come true …through the eyes of SOUL

MIAMI - Aug. 18, 2014 - PRLog -- South Florida will soon experience the first ever fashion musical production if all goes well with community support of their crowd funding and sponsorship campaign in the next few weeks.  Runway Soul – is an innovative, interactive theatrical production created to celebrate and pay tribute to the originators, icons, and musicians of classic Soul Music while engaging and mentoring students of the arts. The production will uniquely explore this popular genre from the mid-50’s to 1990’s with fashion, dance, visual and culinary art while taking the guests on an emotional, nostalgic journey with a modern twist. Select students from the South Florida colleges will work side by side with top production teams in theater, graphic design, beauty, catering and fashion, led by the creator and seasoned Fashion Show producer, Charlene Meriedy of Fashion Show Innovations (FSI). The students will get hands-on experience working from start to finish on the production with the professionals. Scholarships will be awarded to outstanding talent in the areas of fashion, music, visual and culinary art.

The world-wide web makes it possible for millions of people all over the world to connect, share ideas, and support “dream to reality” projects. That is why Runway Soul chose to try crowdfunding for their project and is simply asking 250,000 people to give at least $1.00 on their crowdfunding site htpp://igg.me/at/runwaysoul by August 29, 2015. Special perks are offered at various levels. “If everyone donates and shares our link, this can easily go viral and help us to reach our goal”, says Ms. Meriedy, the creative producer.

The production – scheduled to premiere in early spring - is looking for generous sponsors, supporters, and volunteers in the community to help make this innovative event a reality for the students of the arts.  Art enthusiasts, music lovers, classic soul music lovers, philanthropist, and educators who believe that the Arts play a vital role in the development of our youth are asked to donate and mark their calendar for February 2015  for this “dream come true”, musical night with a soulful purpose.
