Lillian and the youngest of the MacIntosh Family were born in Meadowview in northern Alberta. She trained as a school teacher at the University of Alberta, and married Reg Ross, who worked in the Alberta Oilfields. They had two boys, Lonnie and Erin. Along with teaching, raising a family, singing in a band, and community service, she pursued her passion for writing and has written six historical novels.
