LoanMart Hosts Annual Company Picnic and Carnival

Recently, California’s largest auto title lender, LoanMart, held the annual company picnic for its 375 employees and their families at world-famous Santa Anita Park.

Every year, LoanMart hosts an over-the-top picnic to give the employees and their families a chance to come together, spend some time and have fun.  “Our employees are the reason we’re all here,” said Hugo Dooner, CEO of LoanMart. “It’s so important that they know just how much they are appreciated.”

This year, as the size of the company expanded, so did the picnic.  More than 400 guests crowded the infield in Santa Anita Park, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful race tracks in the country, and is home to numerous prestigious races including the Breeders’ Cup and Santa Anita Derby.

The annual LoanMart summer picnic featured entertainment and rides plus much more for guests of all ages. Guests were welcomed through the gate with a Ferris wheel, which gave everyone an amazing view of the property and the San Gabriel Mountains in the distance. For those seeking more of a thrill, a zip line stretched across the infield that took riders 50 feet in the air.

“It was honestly one of the best afternoons of the summer,” said Bobby G., Brand Manager at LoanMart.  “The employees and their children were having a great time.  There were so many rides and games for the kids, and the food and drinks were unbeatable.”

To counteract the heat, guests’ played water games including a dunk tank manned by the managers.  “Let’s just say that the dunk tank was pretty busy for the hour I was on the stand,” laughed Lori P., Underwriting Manager.  Lori estimates that she was dunked at least 20 times.  “At least it was for a good cause.” All proceeds from this very popular event supported LoanMart’s charitable efforts with Home for Our Troops (https://www.hfotusa.org/).

Along with water features and thrill rides, guests bounced in jumpers and played traditional carnival games. Children enjoyed face painters, caricatures painters, henna tattoo artists  andpony rides. For those who wanted to memorialize the event, the LoanMart photo booth was available to take wacky and fun pictures. All in all, the event was a success and brought the company together for a fun-filled afternoon.  “I’ve been working at LoanMart for five years, and I look forward to bringing my family to the summer picnic each year,” said Andy M., Marketing Support Representative. “It’s a wonderful event, and I’m so glad to work at a place that takes such good care of its employees.”
