I am proud of the extraordinary work our faculty and staff are doing to ensure we prepare students for the 21st century workforce,” Dr. Laurence Alexander, said. “With the establishment of theOffice of Institutional Advancement and Development and the Office of Research, Innovation and Economic Development, UAPB is able to stimulate growth and expansion, through broadening our donor base and ensuring that the institution is a part of the economic development of the City of Pine Bluff. “ UAPB has installed a supercomputer to enhance learning and research among faculty and students participating in the newly established STEM Academy, and the new concurrent enrollment program for high school students will begin next year. This program allows students to take courses for which they will receive both high school and college credit, and it serves as a bridge to ease students into the higher education environment. The university also unveiled a new institutional brandmark, which embodies the distinctive characteristics that make this university great—legacy and excellence— but also represents our progressive spirit.
