Floyd Mayweather Jr. Taps Ed "Thoroughbred" Williams To Train With Mayweather Boxing Club

DETROIT - Aug. 28, 2014 - PRLog -- American professional boxer Edward Williams Jr. was born on April 18,1983 in Detroit Michigan. Ed Thoroughbred Williams started boxing at the age of 17. He was introduced to the sport by his late uncle former WBC Champion Duane Thomas.


Williams began his career as an amateur with the legendary Kronk Boxing Club. He won the US Open for the state of Michigan title two times and received two National Golden Glove Championships. Williams became a professional boxer in 2008 and remains undefeated.

In 2010 he received a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering from Eastern University. Ed "Thoroughbred" Williams is considered to be one of the best pound for pound fighters of this time. He displays an unprecedented mix of speed power and instinct in the ring.

Williams is currently training with Mickey Bey in Las Vegas at the Mayweather Boxing Club for one of the biggest fights this year.
