ACTE sign up to Bluetooth SIG membership

BASINGSTOKE, U.K. - Sept. 11, 2014 - PRLog -- The Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) is a global body that oversees the development of Bluetooth standards and the licencing of Bluetooth technologies and trademarks to manufacturers. The SIG is a non profit making organisation founded in 1998, headquartered in Washington, USA.

Bluetooth technology provides Systems Integrators and OEM's a globally acceptable way of interoperating between Bluetooth enabled wireless devices. Operating on the globally licence exempt 2.4GHz frequency, Bluetooth products available from ACTE provide a low power transmission method of sending data or audio at data rates of up to 3Mbit/s over distances up to 100 metres.

ACTE joining the Bluetooth SIG coincides with the freshening up of their Bluetooth and WiFi short range product portfolio which includes the addition of the NovaComm Technologies range of Bluetooth modules, dongles and serial port adapters.

Products include both Bluetooth V2.1 +EDR Classic and Bluetooth Low Energy or Smart V4.0 surface mountable, industrial grade modules specifically covering the following areas.
