Texas designers presentation at MakerSpace during New York Fashion Week

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Sept. 12, 2014 - PRLog -- After a successful week in New York City, Texas designers are getting ready for their final presentation for Fashion Week at MakerSpace on Staten Island on September 14, 2014.

The designers who participated in the St. George's Ferry cultural lounge event on October 3, 2014 included Arefeh Mansouri, award-winning American fashion designer; Loren Franco, a Dallas-based designer; the Houston-based designer Kimma Wreh of TeKay Designs; Benson Roberts, Austin-based designer and owner of TexStyles Designer Fabric Showroom.

Joining the ensemble for the final showing is Houston-based designer Andrew Drayton, as well as special guest designer from Buffalo, NY, Keyla McGee.

MakerSpace, which promotes a variety of multifaceted artistic and creative endeavors for the local community, is promoting the Staten Island fashion industry as well by hosting these Texas designers.

Director and producer Victor Quinteros, a member of MakerSpace, combines the industrial ambiance of MakerSpace with the elegant visuals of a true fashion experience.

Texas fashion designers will be presenting their full collections this coming October 6th - 12th, 2014 during sister events at Houston Fashion Week 2014 in Houston, TX.  TeKay Designs by Kimma Wreh will be among the featured designers at Houston Fashion Week 2014 for second consecutive year.
