Three preliminary drawings and one scavenger hunt will determine the 30 finalists for a final drawing held on Tuesday, October 7th, 2014 at Progressive Chevrolet. The first 20 finalists have already been chosen, leaving the last 10 to be drawn during Bike Night at Quaker Steak and Lube in Canton, Ohio on September 24th, 2014. Tickets are being sold for $10 each or 3 for $25, and can be purchased at all CSE Federal Credit Union locations, and all Fishers Foods locations now through September 21st. Tickets can also be purchased online (http://starkhunger.org/ Craig and Tim Sanders, of Progressive Chevrolet, along with Amy Weisbrod of the Stark County Hunger Task Force, are thrilled to host this event for a second year. Last year’s ticket sales alone reached $29,500 with additional donations and contributions reaching nearly $50,000. Meanwhile, one lucky winner, Anna Marie Taylor-Lesniewski, left with a brand new Chevy Impala. Each of the 29 remaining finalists received various consolation prizes. The goal of this event is to help “drive out hunger” in our community. All proceeds from ticket sales go to the Stark County Hunger Task Force to help feed over 27,000 individuals throughout Stark County. For each dollar received, 7 pounds of food can be provided. At this time, participants have approximately a 1 in 1,200 chance of walking away with a new 2014 Chevrolet Impala. Fishers Foods, Quaker Steak and Lube, Clear Channel, Cruise On In and Dance Party, CSE Federal Credit Union, and Grabowski and Company are all sponsors involved in this great event. End
