The 2nd Annual Peak City Book Festival Announces 'The Reading and Writing Rodeo'

APEX, N.C. - Sept. 15, 2014 - PRLog -- The Reading and Writing Rodeo is a family-friendly, interactive day between writers, illustrators and reading audiences of all ages.  The day will include scheduled story time, activities for the kids, and writing workshops.  Giveaways and raffles, including a free cowboy hat for the first 100 children to attend the festival, will be taking place throughout the day, and to ensure most people who attend will walk away with at least one book, the organizers  are pleased to announce four $5.00 Flash Sales to be held  throughout the day.

The Peak City Book Festival is co-sponsored by Apex-based Peak City Publishing and the Halle Cultural Arts Center.  The organizations share mutual goals in providing the community an enriching experience in all areas of the Arts. The program is also generously supported by small businesses and authors who contribute to the funding of the program. ABOUT THE PEAK CITY BOOK FESTIVAL

The Peak City Book Festival originated in 2013, as a joint effort between two Apex organizations:  the Halle Cultural Arts Center and Peak City Publishing. The goal of the first festival was to build, engage and grow a community of readers and writers to inspire and celebrate the written word.  Last year's theme, 'Bringing Paper Back to Books' proved to be successful, as several hundred community members attended workshops, participated in story time events and shopped for books.
