PODS® of Phoenix steps in to help remodel Phoenix Dream Center

PHOENIX - Sept. 15, 2014 - PRLog -- Phoenix Dream Center is a volunteer-driven nonprofit organization. It serves the homeless, low-income, at-risk youth and struggling individuals and families of Phoenix.  PODS of Phoenix, a moving and storage provider, has donated a PODS container to help with the remodeling of the non-profits “Lord’s Closet,” a room that stores all of the donations made to the organization.

“The type of programs and services Phoenix Dream Center provides for the community changes lives,” explains Hector Reyes, manager of PODS of Phoenix. “It’s really a pleasure to help them during their remodel, and our hope is to help provide a more organized environment for the hundreds they house each day. We want to make sure the remodeling process is as stress-free as possible.”

Founded in 2006, the Phoenix Dream Center offers programs which include community outreach and residential programs that provide food, clothing, and housing to hundreds of people each night. Currently serving more than 40,000 people each month, the Phoenix Dream Center’s goal is to restore the needy families of the community by providing hope to the homeless, food to the hungry, clothes to the bare and restoration to the broken.

“The Phoenix Dream Center provides resources, opportunities and supportive services to help struggling individuals and families live a self-sufficient life,” said Diana Montgomery, Director of Phoenix Dream Center’s Where Hope Lives. “If it wasn’t for PODS, our renovation wouldn’t have gone as smoothly as it did. Through their generous donation, we were able to establish a more organized environment to the hundreds of people we house each day.”
