Eurotech is introducing DynaDOT PIS panels at Innotrans

At the International Trade Fair for Transport Technology, in Berlin from 23 to 26 September, Eurotech is showcasing the new DynaDOT dot matrix information panels

COLUMBIA, Md. - Sept. 25, 2014 - PRLog -- Eurotech (http://www.eurotech.com), a leading supplier of embedded technologies, products and systems, is attending Innotrans, the International Trade Fair for Transport Technology − Innovative Components, Vehicles, Systems, held at Messe Berlin from 23 to 26 September. Eurotech will be located in Hall 4.1, Stand 411.

Eurotech’s presentation is focused on the DynaDOT displays in 10-13 (http://www.eurotech.com/en/products/DynaDOT+10-13) and 10-14 (http://www.eurotech.com/en/products/DynaDOT+10-14) versions, specifically designed for railway applications, including on-board and track-side Passenger Information Systems (PIS) in constrained spaces. DynaDOT is an EN50155 certified, IP 54 fanless dot matrix display that delivers high brightness (>2,000 cd/m2), high efficiency LEDs in a very thin enclosure. Easy to install both on vehicles and track side, it is ideal for applications where traditional displays are hard to deploy due to their depth, such as when the display is embossed on the train door. At just 35 mm deep, DynaDOT is one of the thinnest dot matrix panels currently available.

Brightness levels are managed automatically or manually: internal temperature and light sensors allow fine, continuous control. The display boasts an excellent brightness-to-power consumption ratio in a fanless enclosure. DynaDOT 10-14 (http://www.eurotech.com/en/products/DynaDOT+10-14) offers sophisticated graphics modes: the surface can be partitioned in smart areas that are controlled independently, with support for bit mapped images, real-time animations, auto scrolling and multi-language fonts.

DynaDOT comes with two Fast Ethernet interfaces that support daisy chaining multiple units and Ethernet bypass mode. With Ethernet bypass, it is possible to instantly recover connectivity along the chain in case the unit is powered down: in case of an event, internal relays are triggered and cross connect the two M12 Ethernet interfaces, restoring the electrical path of the chain.

DynaDOT 10-14 (http://www.eurotech.com/en/products/DynaDOT+10-14) has a dynamic area resolution of 48x132 dots and an active area of 192x528 mm, while the 10-13 version offers 58x18 dots within an active area of 232x72 mm. Standard LED color is yellow, with other colors available upon request.
