Follow on Google News | Enchanted Forest Shines International Spotlight on PitlochryBy: Volpa Described by the writer as “arguably …. the most beautiful place in Scotland this time of year”, The Enchanted Forest is cited as the area’s “biggest draw” as well as Scotland’s smallest distillery, Edradour. Other locations listed in the article include the Alsace region in France, Crete in Greece and Vaud in Switzerland. Derek Allan, producer The Enchanted Forest, commented: “The event has always been a big tourist draw for the area, with well over 50% of our visitors staying overnight in the area, and almost 10% of our visitors coming from further afield than Scotland. It’s really rewarding to see it highlighted in this way – we can sometimes take what’s right on our doorsteps for granted. The Enchanted Forest is expecting 45,000 visitors this year and is estimated to generate around £2 million economic benefit to the region during its 23 night run. This year’s event has also obtained EventScotland funding during the Year of Homecoming Scotland 2014.
