ReproTech CEO and Director Elected to American Association of Tissue Banks Positions

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Sept. 29, 2014 - PRLog -- The newly elected American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) Board of Governors and Council officers began their terms in late September at the annual AATB meeting in San Diego. ReproTech is proud to announce that two of its employees have been elected to prestigious positions.

Brent Hazelrigg, President and CEO of ReproTech, has been elected to the AATB Board of Governors, as well as Chair of the Reproductive Council. Jill Olson, ReproTech’s Minnesota Site Director, has been elected Secretary to the Reproductive Council.

Founded in 1976, the AATB is a scientific and educational, tax-exempt organization. Its mission is to provide transplantable cells and tissues of uniform high quality in quantities sufficient to meet needs. To accomplish this, the AATB publishes standards, accredits facilities, certifies tissue bank personnel, publishes books and guidance documents, and produces educational programs to improve tissue banking.

AATB’s Reproductive Council provides its members the opportunity to participate through networking and conferences, and contribute to the growth, education and advancement of the banking of reproductive tissue (sperm, oocytes, and embryos). The reproductive council provides a forum for members to exchange, communicate and develop relevant ideas related to reproductive tissue collection, processing, storage and distribution.

ReproTech staff currently serves on various AATB committees. Mr. Hazelrigg serves on the Programs Committee, and has previously served on the Accreditation, Standards, Bylaws/Ethics and Finance committees. Ms. Olson currently serves on the Nominating and Awards Committee, previously serving on the Bylaws/Ethics Committee. Other ReproTech staff serve on AATB’s Professional and Public Relations Committee, as well as its Education Committee.
