PHILADELPHIA - Oct. 14, 2014 - PRLog -- Jeju 16 Water was discovered on Jeju, a very special volcanic island off the coast of South Korea. What makes this island so unique is Mt. Halla, an active volcano near the center of the landmass where rainwater is naturally funneled into the heart of the mountain. As rainwater collects in a mineral-rich caldera on Mt. Halla, it beings to pass through sixteen layers of porous volcanic bedrock, naturally purifying 16 water without stripping away essential minerals.

The volcanic purified water will be a featured product at the 16th annual Philadelphia Festival of Food, Wine, and Spirits Oct. 17-19 in the resort’s newly renovated convention center. Presented by One Step Events, the three day event will feature chef demonstrations from celebrity chefs, meet and greets with celebrity foodies, and wine and food tastings from area restaurants and global award-winning wineries and distilleries. The festival will run from 4-8 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and 4-8 p.m. Saturday, and 12 p.m.-4 p.m. Sunday.

About 16 Jeju Water:

From across the globe comes a water unique to its origin. The volcanic island of JeJu, where 16 Water was born, is a world of its own tucked away off the coast of South Korea. JeJu has its own ecosystem, culture, climate and of course, water supply. Only through this perfect set of circumstances and 2 million years of volcanic activity did such a place come to be. The result is an island paradise capable of supplying the purest expression of what makes life possible on earth: water. But, 16 is more than just water, 16 is a gift from a time long before us. What starts as rainwater is naturally purified through 16 layers of volcanic bedrock, creating a ready to drink water that is cleansed through a natural process untouched by human hands.
