By: Narayan Seva Sansthan A person was quite satisfied with his ordinary business. He, on a regular basis, used to lit a lamp before the statue of Goddess Laxmi and pray for the welfare of his family members and offer chapattis to a cow and a dog and didn’t allow any guest leave his place empty handedly. Gradually, his business prospered with the blessings of the ‘Goddess Laxmi. As his business gained momentum, he started paying less attention towards his family members and left the work of offering chapattis to the cow and dog on the shoulders of his servant. ‘Happiness &Prosperity’ One day lying on the bed he was busy in evaluating his supremacy when he heard the foot-fall sound of someone. He hesitantly asked, ’who is there? ‘He got the reply, ‘Death’. The shadow got sunked in thought, but he turned restless. Within a span of few days, his complexion lost its glow. He came in the grip of a disease. His business, too, suffered badly due to his ill health. His family members took him to a saint. The saint heard everything and advised him to collect the wealth from one hand and spend from the other and also asked him not to tighten the fist. He immediately understood the meaningful indication of the saint. He started spending some part of his earning for the welfare of the poor and the oppressed humanity. He again started lighting the lamp before the idol of Goddess Laxmi and offering chapattis to dogs & cows. He got rid of all his fear. His life again started witnessing signs of prosperity. Friends! There are many people who believe that with whatever they have been blessed is not enough. They are always in want of having more &more. There is no end to this desire. On the contrary, we can also witness many other people who always remain attentive in serving ‘specially abled’, destitute, helpless and the needy persons even at the cost of making reductions in their requirements. They are neither bothered about the bewilderment of fame nor do they have the desire for glory. The ‘Almighty’ Give charity donation (http://www.narayanseva.org/ End
