Louisville chapter of Financial Executives International names 2015 leaders

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Oct. 6, 2014 - PRLog -- The Louisville chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI), a professional association for CFOs, controllers, treasurers and senior finance executives, named its leadership for the 2015 chapter year.

“Once again, our chapter is led by a veteran team of finance professionals who are willing to help members wherever they can - whether it involves education or advocacy, or sharing experiences and expertise with those seeking direction and advice,”  said new FEI-Louisville President Melissa Fraser, chief operating officer and chief financial officer for Strothman & Company PSC.

Through its 75 chapters, FEI represents the interests of more than 10,000 financial officers from private and public companies from a wide variety of industry sectors.  The Louisville chapter serves members from metro Louisville and southern Indiana.

In addition to Fraser, the 2015 FEI-Louisville’s board of directors are:

- Dave Lewis, vice president and chief financial officer, Humana Government Business. (Treasurer).
- Elaine Bush, chief financial officer and chief administrative officer, Euler Hermes Collections North America (Secretary).
- William Ferko, a finance executive from the financial services and manufacturing industries (VP-Programming and Career Services Chair).
- Matthew L. Monteiro, VP finance and treasurer, Farm Credit Mid-America (VP-Membership).

Directors at large and committee chairs (named) include:

- Alan Bailey, assistant treasurer, Humana, Inc. (Chair, CFO of the Year Awards).
Price Cooper, chief financial officer, Texas Roadhouse (Nominating Chair and Co-Sponsorship Chair).

- Roger Shannon, chief financial officer and treasurer, Steel Technologies, LLC.

October 21 (Tuesday) - Kent Oyler, president and CEO, Greater Louisville Inc. Topic: GLI, Advantage Louisville, and the Future of Economic Regionalism. (Vincenzos, lunch).

November 18 (Tuesday) - Tara Dziedzic, managing director, Global Client Group, NYSE Euronext. Topic: The Evolution of the Equities Market: from Flash Crash to Flash Boys. (Captain’s Quarters, lunch)

December 18 (Thursday) - Steve Hanson, CEO, Baptist Health. Topic: What do health and wellness really cost? (Ice House, lunch).
